About Us

In April 2010, The Mayor of Abingdon opened a new, traditional tea room in the heart of the historic riverside town. Rosie’s Tea Room served its first paying customers and was opened officially at 11am.

In recent years Abingdon has seen the opening of a number of coffee shops and cafes, but Rosie’s Tea Room offers a more traditionally English alternative, with homemade cakes and scones a specialty (the Abingdon Chamber of Commerce Twitter page declaring – “The choc cake is really yummy!”).

Liz King, owner and manager of Rosie’s Tea Room said: “The initial reaction to our opening has been incredible. Everyone has been so positive and supportive, we feel part of the local community already.”

Rosie’s Tea Room is a family run business. It’s vision is to offer exceptional customer service and the highest quality food and drink, to ensure that a visit to Rosie’s is the highlight of any trip to Abingdon. As well as offering a wide range of teas, Rosie’s Tea Room also serves a variety of homemade cakes, scones, sandwiches and soup.

Rosie’s Tea Room is situated near the centre of the historic market town of Abingdon and is just a short stroll from St Helens Church and the river Thames.
